After reading the thread on Enduro bikes I started thinking:
Things I'm oblivious to.
Small bump compliance
Brake modulation on shocks
Leverage ratios
Crisp shifting
Small changes in Geometry
Pedal bob
Brake Jack
Thinks I notice.
Way too steep head angle
Crap OEM tyres
This is because I'm a crap rider or is it because I just couldn't care less
C) not ridden enough bikes to accurately pick up on what's different (It's likely that bikes with slack head angles share a lot of other characteristics too)
D) not spent enough time listening to internet experts
E) Don't really care. Just enjoy riding.
Consider yourself lucky!
I don't care about crisp shifting, I just want it to work. I notice pretty much everything else...
