Forget the spec, which is lower than I would have expected, on looks alone, this bike should be an award winner.

Not bad, provided you're on board the retro-style bandwagon, but I can't stand fork legs being significantly thicker than the head tube.

Saddle looks mildly terrifying.

Yep, looks nice. If it was 1x and hydro I'd be interested.

This looks good too:

Actually, that OP photo is the 2017 version. They don't do that colour any more and the fork graphic is no longer script font.

The looks are anything but retro - there's some nice sloping action going on, and the downtube is fatter than the norm. The forks could be narrower, but then again, you wouldn't want carbon forks narrower than this.

Bit skinny for me. Nice colour though.

OP why are you looking at bikes again?

I don't like the fat forks

I agree about the fat forks.Thin tubed steel bikes look best with thin tubed steel forks, especially when they have those square lugged shoulders. But it's all subjective rather than objective surely?

No, not for me, it's OK but nothing special, there's something that I can't quite put my finger on that I don't like.

Hmmmm really? Funny how tastes are subjective. I think it looks plop and should remain in the 80's. But if you like it that's great.

I like it, would be nicer with skinny steel forks though.

I liked it when I saw the Ramble in my LBS window. Quite tempted to treat myself but managed to resist the urge. Might check out the new colour scheme, but I do like the blue.

Not doing it for me, bland and a but of a mismatch.

Not retro enough to look properly retro, and not modern enough to look modern.
It looks like someone has slapped a (rather ugly) modern groupset on a dull frame.

But you probably wouldn't like the look of my bikes either so who gives a toss! Beauty is in the eye of the beholder as they say...

The first bike has an aesthetically unpleasant sloping up top tube and a strange cable arrangement. The second blue Shand has a stem pointing off into the air and nasty looking forks, as well as that messy belt drive access so 5/10 and 3/10 for nice looking from me.
