I'm going to treat myself to a set of Jawbones at the weekend, i've decided on the frame colours and options, but am stumped on which lenses to get.
The last couple of pairs of oakleys I've bought had transistions lenses and before that some m frames with clear, yellow, and a purply coloured lens.
The package comes with two sets of lenses so i'd like one set for bright sunny days, and another for your when it's not so bright, so can anyone suggest a pair of lenses to go for?

I just bought the photochromatic ones. Fantastic. Not sure why you would need anything else!

If I was to get another lens it would be a pimpy iridium one that is really dark as have heard that the photochromatic one doesn't go dark enough in really bright conditions.

To be honest, the optical quality of Oakley lenses is that good that even a pair of darker lenses will be usable for lower light conditions. I've driven through an afternoon into the evening wearing the same dark lenses and forgotten I had the sunnies still on.

I've got polarised red iridium ones and they are great.

Depends which one, MM. I have a persimmon/black iridium lens that is utterly brilliant in almost any light condition, ski slope brightness to night time commuting in winter.

For one lens otherwise, go for VR28. Best all rounder.

That's the lens I have Captain. Commute in in foggy conditions and ride home in the blazing sun/or night time.

Been great so far

I just bought the photochromatic ones.

The word is 'photochromic' I'm not sure where the 'at' keeps sneaking in, it annoys me!

I've got the Clear Black Iridium transitions, but I understand they've been discontinued. I'd be inclined to get the VR50 transitions and a dark tint suits the frame, like Black/Ice/Fire Iridium.

Got some G30's for mine and they're pretty good as an all round lens. Similar to the Vr28 but a touch lighter I think. They are apparently Golf specific but they seem to work for MTB'ing pretty well if you ask me.

sorry to hijack this topic but also looking in the market for some new sunglasses and Oakleys keep popping up, problem is there so many damm lenses out there it mad.

I tempted to go for the Flack jackets Black Iridium but unsure if they will be good enough for normal days through to bright days

Or whether to get some Rudy Project Rydon - Carbon/Red Photochromic sunglasses
http://sportandspeed.co.uk/products/Rudy-Project-Rydon-Sunglasses-Carbon-Red-Photochromic-SN798414.html

Again with Rudy project so many differant lenses it pretty crazy working out what they do, though i want something that is UV decent as i will be using them a lot in the sun for my job

Gold Iridium. One of the best and most natural coloured lenses. Very soft on the eyes, so no eye strain or lack of depth perception.

Black/clear photochromic lenses available here: http://www.sunglasses-shop.co.uk/oakley-lenses/jawbone/clear-black-iridium-photochromic-vented-16-991/31747.aspx

I have a set - they're the only lenses I need be it for night riding or sunny days.

Just got some g30s here too. Not wildly different to my red irridiums but look a bit less offensive on the half jackets 😛

Another happy Transitions user. I'm aware that they are not 100% clear at night but I don't feel it's ever been a problem.

I've got Bulldogs with Dark Bronze lens. They look great and are in the sun. I nearly killed myself riding from bright light into dark woods though... Worth the £90 I paid though.
