After a highly successful trip out on the FoD last weekend, I've just bought my 4 y-o a tagalong. It has a clamp for my seatpost, that is designed to stay attached, but I'd like to put a nylon collar into the clamp, then attach/detach the tagalong by just removing.g the seatpost from the bike and sliding the loosely fitting collar off.
So, any ideas where I can get a fairly substantial nylon collar with an internal diameter that fits loosely on a size 27 seatpost?
TIA
IIRC the tagalong I had came with a qr on the seat post clamp so could be easily removed. Is this an option / bodge for yours?
I loose shim may move up and down on the post and have some lateral sway making the tagalong unstable.
plastic/nylon seat post shim?
40mpg - bought a cheap one, I'm afraid, so qr not an option.
p-c - that may work, though I was ideally wanting something more robust/chunky...
You need to find someone with access to a lathe and a bench drill. I can't help at the moment, I'm afraid.
