Couldn't see anything so I'll start..

https://flic.kr/p/2o981mE

Tired after the "Windy Gap" Deathmarch and a lot of Zwift. Finished the week with 225km and 2800m of climbing. Nearly 90km/2000m on two tough MTB rides. Definitely had to give myself a talking too on a few of the climbs today. Legs were mutinous. Still I guess everyone doing the Rapha 500 feel the same way.

Loving the new BFEMax. Really compliant when you let it go over rocks and roots, but also seems to generate lots of front end grip. Can't wait for spring 😉

Right what'ya got?

Is that Cwmcarn? It looks like the climb on the Twrch trail. Anyway, definitely unsuitable bike, fine effort 🙂

Earlyish ride to start the year.

https://imgur.com/kyCaeod

Started well greeted by a good sunrise, ended with a sense of humour failure after a combination of lack of fitness, constant mud and trails ripped up by motorcross bikes.

No riding for me today. Been setting up my new wheels; attaching centrelock disc rotors for the first time; using never-before used tools from the bike tool kit; setting wheels up tubeless...fingers crossed for full inflation still tomorrow morning. I'll report back if all has gone well 😬😂

Lots of fresh snow this morning. Was a good workout riding through it in Glen Feshie today. No cafe open though

Looks amazing @aberdeenlune. I was nearly 'sank' in Glen Feshie. Not the bike and I, just I!! Hip deep in a bog 😳 whilst my riding buddy just fell about the place laughing. Amazing place though.

@fazzini 😄. Bit of trail clearing. Neither of us had a beer on NYE. I’ve put that right now tho!

Very slow going in the Surrey Hills today. Lots of leaves covering mud, sand and general bogginess.

But a lovely way to start the year. Happy 2023 all!

Just actually paid attention to the thread title and I was out yesterday!!! (not very far, nor very extreme, nor particularly exciting, but very damp ☔☔)

I didn't get a ride in but we did have a NYD dip at Loch Morlich.

No good scenery photo's, but I took my BFeMAX for a spin around Queen Elizabeth Country Park on NYE thinking the trees might shelter me a little from the torrential rain. I was wrong!

@kayak23 thanks! Arrived on the 23rd although Cotic said it probably wouldn't ship until mid-Jan due to couriers/christmas/factory move etc. so I was over the moon! Absolutely love it.

@jfab - another BFEMax in the right colour 🙂 Not sure about those Tanwalls tho!

I ordered mine 17th I think (Friday) and it turned up Tuesday. Another mate ordered one and got it a couple of days later. Really glad as I've managed three rides on it already.

Not very exciting, just went for a spin around Cambridgeshire, which, as we know, is literally the dullest place on the entire planet. Still, I enjoyed it.

@Alex to be honest my two main reasons for the Tanwalls were:
They were £36 each instead of £50
My riding buddy absolutely hates Tanwalls, which gives me great joy in buying them.

@pisco - cracking pics there. Really need to get back to my (original) stomping ground for a big day out.

@jfab - both excellent reasons 🙂 Also they blend in very well this time of year!

Big fan of tanwalls on a single colour bike. They look mint 😊👌
I have some on my steel Marin.

To be fair, I have some history here too 🙂 But they came with the bike. My mate has ONE tanwall. I can barely look 😉

Missed the chance to get out NYE/NYD, but got out for a couple of hours this morning. SS Road. Which was a bit niche! Lovely morning for it though.

Swapped Lakes for Dales today and it was a much better day put mudguards on but frosty conditions meant they weren’t needed so clatter clatter for nothing

Went for a ride up Rivington this morning. Got to see the sunrise at the pike.

Thought I'd be the only person there but around 10 others were watching as well.

Headed out mid-afternoon and went up Dumyat, leaving it late to avoid the masses.
First reasonable ride in 3 weeks thanks to crash injuries and manflu.

Remembered my helmet lamp but not the bracket. Doh!
A very muddy descent via Witches and home for tea.
