As above, there's so much movement in the pivot it won't index, upper stop is hit and miss and jams chain in upper sprocket if you back pedal.

It's three months old, I've had to tweak cable indexing every other ride since new - but now wondering if it's been an excessively wobbly pivot.

Warranty?

(I had to warranty the shifter from New out the box already)

Edit: six other mechs in the household, two are 11sp, I never have an issue with them.

Though I haven't experienced it, it seems to be a known problem.

There was a recent thread on here about it.

Depending upon lbs they will hopefully warranty it?

Back pedalling issues can just be chain line though, so might not be delayed.

So the annoying bit is that we are racing next weekend - so I've ordered a second NX mech, ahead of posting back to get warranty claim sorted...😡

Just went and checked my NX.

Tiny amount of play at main pivot, not even close to the play your video shows.

Well we shouldn't have ridden it today. Mech explosion, one of the jockey wheels couldn't be found.

Thanks to two strangers who helped eldest_oab at the top of Laggan red, chainless ride back down.

Too late for you now but if I was in your position I would have bought a GX rear mech , they don't cost much more than NX but are significantly better .

Reading up and comparing there's little difference between GX and NX. Different backing plate, steel pins instead of rivets. No difference in top pivot.

I had this on my gx eagle mech too - absolute shite - sram QC is especially shocking on lower model stuff, gone to xtr 12 speed and the difference in quality is night and day...I know that doesn't help much, but just pray for the day you can buy 12 speed slx/xt cheaper as it was more durable
