What are Northwave shoes like for sizing?

Size up or down?

Cheers

I'm a 10.5 -11 for most shoes so bought size 11's and they are a bit tight around the toes.....to the point that after a couple of hours, they start to hurt and and after 3-4 hours REALLY hurt!

So I bought some bigger ones.

Along time ago they were variable, tried a shoe for size, ordered a boot in that same size, and ended up having to upsize by two. Moral of the story, as always with shoes - try the exact model before buying.

I find them normal, but the cleat position is always further forward than other brands eg Shimano.

I had the same experience as Rockape63; sized up a full size like I usually have to do for my wide feet (went for a 44, wide fit I'm 43) and they worked really well except for the toe box which was crushingly narrow.

After an hour they started to feel uncomfortable on the sides. After two hours, I was in crippling pain.

Sold them and bought a pair of Lake wide fits. Feet are now very happy. It was a shame because I really liked the Northwaves (Spider Plus 2s).

I'm an eu size 43 with a relatively wide foot, my current cycling shoes are by Northwave in a size 44 and they feel like they where made to measure.

I'm usually a 46 and my NW Tribes are a 47, like my Freerider EPS. Unlike my Freeriders, the Tribes are comfortable enough for all day wear as they have a wider toe box.

I have old NW road shoes in 46 and they are like slippers to my wide feet.

Usual size for me is .. 46

(Shimano spd boots are 47 and still not wide enough.)

Sorry

I have fairly wide feet and sized up from 44 to 46 for my Raptor winter boots. They are the most comfortable MTB shoes I’ve owned so far.

I find my tribes really narrow and nowhere near as grippy as 5/10

I find them to be quite wide around the mid foot and heal compared with other brands. Hard to get a good fit.

I'm a 46 in freerider Pros, and also Northwave Clan. I prefer the toe box shape of the Clan too, but they are a tiny bit wider at the heel than the 5:10s.

I have an old pair of Northwave road shoes in size 44, and they fit really well. So I bought a new pair in size 44, and they're too narrow.

So don't assume consistency between different models...

I bought a pair, bloody hell they are hard to get on and off!

But they do seem to fit quite well.

Just bought a pair of the below winter boots from crc, bought my usual size and they fit perfectly.

I also bought the same boots, normally a 42/43, depending on the brand, the 42 were a much better fit. They feel very warm and comfortable, but tough to get on and off! lol

i run Northwave Clans. I have dainty size 8 feet. In the NW's i run a euro 41, which equates to a UK 7.5. They are a snug fit, but not in a bad way. Hours of comfort from them.

I managed to bag a second pair cheap off ebay, which was a result!
