Hi all,
On a list for later this year. Any real world experiences anyone wants to share ?
Thanks
Yeah, happy with mine. Had it 18 months.
Mines great. Has definitely made me faster and so much fun. Admittedly I'm coming off a hardtail for the last few years, but its just so capable and did I say fast, and fun!!

Only things I've changed is the bars, grips and stem to some carbon bars, ergon grips and a nicer stem I already had. And I've been running Magic front and Minion DHR rear through the winter. But will go back to the Assegai front now the weather's getting better. Not sure whether to go with the disector that came on it or the minion SS I have on the back though....
Great bikes, in an ideal world I'd have one to go with my Mega. I sold mine to fund an operation and regret it.
i saw one on the weekend running Zeb's!
Not that helps at all 😛

Did you have a word with the owner?
Assuming it wasn't Sam Hill.
I've loved having mine for coming up on a year, it's an alu comp 290. I've got some enduro races booked for later this year, it's done 50km xc routes, trail centres and Antur Stiniog/BPW days too.
I will say, as it's a heavy hitting trail bike, it is quite heavy compared to something like an orbea occam. I've not made any component changes yet but am looking at swapping the stock sun ringle duroc 35's out for some dt swiss xm481 rims on 350 hubs.
Just to mention 2 issues I've had with mine, one's a lot more common than the other. Firstly, the marzocchi z2 forks have some play in them. It seems this can happen with the bushings and they're cast in. Apparently it's a common problem and they'll either swap the lowers or provide a new fork. Second, the freehub chewed itself to pieces back in January however apparently the bikeshop has only seen this happen to these wheels on an e-bike once before so uncommon.
Even with those small issues I'd highly recommend it as they're component problems and just bad luck, I plan on keeping the frame for a long time to come. It's a great bike that can handle a lot more than many of the shorter travel trail bikes I've ridden.
Thanks folks. I have a 5010v2 now since new which is great and really like it but fancying a change to something similar but 29 wheels
Also looking at an Occam

Also probably worth looking at the SC Tallboy, Norco Optic and the Bird Aether 9 too.
Got rid of mine in under a year. No real complaints (except the abysmal paintwork) but no real plus points either. Meh.
This seems like a fantastic deal, albeit the shorter travel configuration

Experiences? Mostly negative. It was meant to be delivered yesterday but wasn't. One star.
I had one, wasn't all that impressed with it to be honest. It replaced a smuggler, it was a bit longer and slacker, heavier and the back end was either too soft or too stiff. Bought a gen2 smuggler and was a better bike for me. Since replaced that for a carbon stumpy and that bike is what the reactor is trying to be, its light, responsive and the suspension works
That factory spec is a ruddy good bargain at 3 grand, XT, fox kashima, Reynolds wheels, horizon cockpit, you're getting your money's worth, quite a nice colour too.
There's even a Bikeyoke post. Not much love for the Reactor though, it seems
