no, I have not done any anodising to my bike 🙂 lol, I have seen that one too.
No custom tuning required, and if I order from TF Tuned they will do a base setting for me, if I order from somewhere else it will come as the factory base setting which is middle of the road on everything.
Vivid looks smart! I'm glad nukeproof may be offering the CCDB as an upgrade it's defintely worth it if anyones thinking about it.

Def not my bike. I have some suttle gold bits like saint shifter and mech and bolts on the white e13 guide. Im bad for doing colour purchases. But my mates keep me sensible.....ish! 🙂

Er? There's nothing wrong with Monarchs it's just Push aren't offering them any more due to their own issues from what I've read.
No, they are not offering them because the modified shocks they sold were constantly being returned to them with issues that SRAM/Rock Shox caused. They are having to rectify the issues with the modded shocks they sold as the warranty is with them not SRAM.
Read more carefully. You bought the wrong shock mate. As usual air shocks are ****ing shite!

Just to let you know, I got the CCDB today from TF Tuned.
Initial impressions is that its very good, came set up by TF based on my info provided. Only thing I have adjusted is the Low Speed Compression as I had some pedal bob to start with, but I still have lots of adjustment available to me.
Went down some local tracks I know well and apart from them being a swamp, felt like a big step up from the Monarch.
Going to take it to Fort William Red Route as soon as I can, and that will give a good idea of more aggressive performance.
Hope this helps with anyones choice.

I am currently running a rp23 kashima on mine and its an improvent over the monarch...
I have tried the CCDBair and to be honest the rp23 out perfoms it and is much lighter. where i ride the differences in the spring rate (heated air expands and changes characteristics) means the 4 way adjustment of the shock means dick if your spring rate constantly changes..
A CCDB coil with a marz 55 RC3ti is going to be on it shortly....cannot wait..

How does the CCDB air heat up worse than an RP23? That's the first I've heard. Pure physics - eg air canister volume - mass of material and the air cans surface area means it should stay cooler.
Nukeproof are running them on their Mega's out in the Alps at the moment. Half tempted to give one a go.

It doesnt, the adjustments of an rp23 is much less sensitive than a CCDB so easier to get a "happy medium"
A CCDB coil can be a bitch to get setup properly as it is as the 4way adjustments are very sensitive...throw in ever changing spring rates with air....
IMO I would go for the coil with a ti spring..
I agree, coils are better (midstroke support of air shocks is definitely lacking) but I think I might go with a Vector Air HLR - as for my kind of riding (enduro) I don't think the performance on the rear justifies the 300 gram weight increase from the Vector Air to a CCDB coil. All the fast guys in Enduro are using air shocks but some are using coil forks - never got why people go the other way round as grip on the front matters a lot more than on the rear.
The other problem is, I've often had a much harder time dialing in coil shocks than coil forks in terms of spring rates. Even with preload adjustment I find that with my SX Trail I was between springs and that I could never get the softer or harder one to feel right by messing with the preload.

Just came back from 2 weeks in the Alps, Les Arcs, Pila and Chamonix. Couldn't be happier with the shock if I'm honest. I had about a week riding it at home and tweeked it a bit from how TF set it up and then changed it a little bit from that for the Alps, mainly took a bit off the low speed compression because I didn't need to pedal so much and I guess it's always gonna be a little bit of a trade off between pedal bob and small bump sensitivity. I'm gonna leave it like that now I'm back and see how it pedals. I think it was only 2 clicks so I may go half way. Its worlds away from the Monarch thats for sure...
ye i went out on my testerday.
I added some low speed compression to get the bob down. i knwo i should not have been but i was amazed that it worked so well. i went 3 clicks and it was gone completly so i am going to turn it back and do it in smaller bits
I have just been out to check the settings i had.
I also noticed the sag piont had a moved a fair amount is this normal?
