Just a 6mm & 8mm hex key plus a thin socket - https://www.chainreactioncycles.com/nukeproof-pedal-axle-nut-removal-tool/rp-prod173070

There is no tools needed to get the bearings out, they will come out easily and then just push back into place.

Guide here for a full rebuild but you can obliviously skip the bushing removal / installation:

From memory, it’s 9mm.

The socket is very thin so a standard socket may not fit.

I have a Halfords 1/4" set and the 9mm fits my flat pedal Horizons.

thanks folks - yep its a 9mm socket, standard size one (not super long and thin etc) fit in fine, very easy job to maintain them, very simple well thought out pedal internals

bearings after 5 months still like new, no play, and will be very easy to replace

guess ill have to buy the bushing press/puller tool though, but seems like a very very quick easy way to service them

Yep, can't go to far wrong with the step by step guide either. Easy to open them up, put some new grease in and make sure everything is still in good working order.
