Got some Nukeproof Horizon carbon bars and in the box is a couple of clear helitape type things.
Zero information about them in the instructions. All I can see is on their web site they mention "Supplied with clear protective scuff guard".
What's the idea behind them and where would they go? They not wide enough to wrap all the way round the bar, and have a tapered shape along the length.
I stuck them to the top of the bars then removed them and stuck them in the bin.
Is it for brakes and shifter to stop marking the bars?
Is it so the ratchet straps on the uplift trailer don't scratch them?
I stuck them to the top of the bars then removed them and stuck them in the bin
I just did the second part
I assumed they were somehow linked to slipping grips. I put them in the spares box.
Chucked aside for now. Might find a use for them somewhere. Kind of like the uplift strap protection idea but need to work out where the straps would normally fit.
Though I've got a roll of helitape type stuff anyway.
