can anyone advise on sizing please? im usually a 32 in levi's etc - generally 32 in everything tbf - the small suggests 32-34 but then some reviews on wiggle/crc suggest they size up much smaller

is the medium a safe bet? dont want them falling down and flappy though - but also dont want them too tight that the buttons pop open, any ideas? whats the sizing like on them from real world folk

I've got a 31" ish waist and mine are a small and have to have the waist adjusters at their smallest. The newer ones are a bit smaller according to the good lady, she has an older and newer pair.

hey sam @fathomer - cheers - are yours older ones then? assume there was a running change in the sizing to both men and womens? seems like the reviews do tally with this to some extent - we're about the same id say build wise and last thing i want is them slipping down especially in the wet weather

I bought a black pair last year and the medium were perfect for me with my 33in waist.

Got a blue medium pair this year and they are a real squeeze. Deffo got smaller.

Buy both sizes and send one back?

Dave, mine are the older ones, but I get in the other halfs smalls ok. Other halfs are both mens fit, she got them before they did the ladies version.

without wanting to hi-jack this thread....

I was looking at these trousers when around the £50 mark. They are now £90... are they still good for that money?

Or are most people happy with them as they used to be cheap? Would you happily pay £90 them, or would a few extra quid be worth investing in something like Fox, 100%, TLD etc?

cheers!

Ahh sam - thanks bud - sorry was understanding it as they were women specific - ok cool so they are smaller than your small - im not quite a 31" like you so i reckon the new smalls would be perhaps a little too tight on my gut - as @chakaping says, maybe worth just getting both and sending one back - i expect the mediums will fit me a bit better being a little bigger waist than yours sam cheers dude!

Black Friday is coming up.

Don't pay £90 for them now.

I'm also a 33" waist with an older pair and a newer pair both size medium.
As above newer ones are a bit tighter but nothing that causes a problem.

They were good value for money at £50, the price hike is just so cynical, they were being bought because they were excellent trousers for the money, wouldn't pay £90 for them.

They seem to be £50 just now. Worth a shot?

Defo good at that price they fit well and have nice little features surprised in a good way, the fabric is very thin which is a downside.

Thanks for the PSA, great value at £50, just ordered my second pair. As for sizing I’m 32/32 in most trous and medium fits me perfectly

We’ll just arrived first thing

I’m a slim 32 waist around 11.5 stone with bony hips - the small fit me better around the bum and legs and with being stretchy I’d have no issues that they will be too tight, the medium are a bit baggy around the crotch/bum area which is going to get caught up on saddle and probably make a lot of rustling noises, the mediums fit fine too though generally I could wear either, but I think I’ll stick with the small as given they’ll get wet throughout winter they stand far less chance of slipping down

Very nice for 50 quid I must say much nicer than my fox ranger ones which make me look like mc hammer!

So to anyone else I would recommend getting both sizes I’d imagine if I was any bigger I’d not get in the small

i came to this thread to mention they are down to £50.

I have just ordered a medium (as large out of stock), but from reading the above, i reckon/hope they should be a good fit.

The older ones had belt loops... very happy with a medium and a belt
I made the mistake of buying 2x medium this time last year and the belt loops are gone and they are unusable.

With the adjusters as tight as possible they still measure 15" inside the waist (e.g. 30")

Good stuff Dave, if they had any smalls left I think I'd be buying another pair but there out of stock!

Odd, mine, which are 3 years old this Christmas haven't got belt loops!

spot on sam - given your a small i kinda went on the side of that when deciding which send back, knowing we are roughly same build/height! defo best choice, yes they look tighter on legs/thighs, but with stretchy material and still the same leg length it shouldnt matter, i dont want excess flappage anywhere riding...by far they are the nicest pair ive owned so far, i love the lightweight material of them, seem mega comfy just wandering around in them....i think i got the last small pair, might get a blue pair when they next come available and on offer again

i have also got the nukeproof merino wool short and long sleeve jerseys - very very good for winter and just got a tshirt version for £24 - so thats me sorted for winter

well....used the small last night, what a revelation, these pants are bloody awesome and at 50 quid are a bargain, id probably pay nearly full price for these i rate them that much, the fit is almost perfect for riding, no flappage, tight but mega mega mega comfy....very very impressed! glad i went small in the end for my 31-32" waist, the mediums in hindsight would have been a bit too baggy around the bum area

but mega impressed!

any one using the shorts they do? i need some new shorts for next summer so will try and get some on offer/sale whilst its winter, is the sizing the same and similar cut?

nukeproof are underrated, its got me wondering how good the bikes are likely to be for the money!

I've got a couple of pairs of NP shorts, I bought the Blackline ones off the back of loving the trews so much actually.

They're almost there for me - material good, pockets OK, decent length - but I find they tend to ride down so I keep having to hoick them back up again while I'm pedaling.

Not 100% sure why, but maybe the waist adjustment hasn't got enough range?

Might just be me though.

i guess i can always try the buy medium/small combo and send one back again - but now in hindsight im really chuffed i kept the small i have a feeling the mediums would have started to slip down on me, especially as they got wet too, maybe the shorts are the same - nice though, bought a couple of the merino baselayers too and they are awesome for the money in the sale - just need the shorts to come up in sale in the depths of winter

my trousers should arrive today. i am looking forward to trying them after your praise @oscillatewildly

I have a few pairs of these:

and think they are excellent, especially for the price. My days of paying twice or three times that for some Fox shorts are long gone.

i cant see you being disappointed - given they fit you of course, i do think with them being tight they may look a bit odd on a chunkier person, can see them not working, but for anyone slim/slender they are as good as ive seen - they are much nicer material than my royal racing pants, and absolutely loads better than my fox ranger in every way

I bought a pair last year when they were £50. I was so pleased with them, I bought another pair while they were still on offer.

Got mine today…. Can barely do them up. Such a shame. Especially as my shorts are a medium and fit well, but the trousers are way smaller.

Hopefully they get some large in stock and I can try those!

All of the nukeproof gear is excellent quality and value IMV. I've got the trousers, shorts, hoodies and jackets. Just not a bike 🤣 I'm 30-31" waist and wear the small trousers, very comfortable whilst riding and don't get caught on anything or flap about. I love the hooded tops and t shirts too, really comfortable and look good. Puts a lot of the "big" brands to shame considering their price tags.
