Anyone seen/looked at the new adventure bike thing from NS?
Not available yet, but looks Ok VFM to my uneducated eyes.

Same price as the Kona sutra Ltd but with a carbon fork.
Do any of the more wise adventurists among us have an opinion on this?
Seriously looking at one as a commuter with very occasional light trail duties (verderers etc), any feedback appreciated!

A search yields no success on here, apologies if this has been done.

Know nothing about it, but it does look quite nice.

Prefer not to have internal routing tbh.

May I ask why not?

I tend to avoid internal routing, too.

Rattles and awkward maintenance are prime concerns, but I also like to be able to visually check cables/hoses. It's been suggested by some frame builders that if you can hear the cables rattling about you know there's wear happening inside the frame, too - and that makes sense to me and is another thing I'd prefer to see...

Exactly what he said ^^ plus the weather in this country means the fewer places for water to enter the frame the better. I'm not that bothered about mudguards either. I know I'm going to get filthy when I go out riding, so just kinda live with it. Embarrassed to say this, but I also think they ruin the look of a bike too.
It would be a different kettle of fish if I'm commuting though.

I don't mind it, but not having it isn't in any way a deal breaker. Hadn't noticed it had no mudguard mounts.

I'm glad I asked and now I know. I was looking more from a commuter point of view as opposed to adventure. If you reduced the tyre size to suit commuting you'd have room for mudguards.
I still think it looks quite nice.
