With all of the banter about e-bikes I got to wonder what other sports might take up some form of electro-mechanical assistance.
I mean are we really that far from seeing some kind of powered exo skeletal devices for say , climbing, golf, tennis? Just think of the vitriol that would get spouted on UKC if the peaks was full of folk trad climbing with robotic arms... I mean it's bad enough when someone claims a route with a boulder mat down to protect the landing.
Kids at the park with a power brace on their leg to smash in those Roberto Carlos style free kicks... Whilst I scoff at the thought I'm sure I'd have scoffed at an e-bike MTB concept 30 yrs ago.
I thought about semi powered row boats, not quite an outboard but something to mechanically help someone rowing by hand so there is still effort but reduced, so could allow older or people with a disability to enjoy rowing.
so could allow lazy folk to enjoy rowing.
FTFY
Still, I'm sure it would let them go twice as far or even paddle upstream without breaking a sweat.

<UKC> It's The Peak, dammmit! </UKC>
Still, the spectacle of someone running out of battery halfway up Master's Edge would be quite something.

Golfers have been using electric trolleys and golf buggies for years.
I always fancied a go on one of these....

Pole vaulting.
nbikes: nuclear powered
With the holy grail being n+1bikes: powered by cold fusion
pie eating contests.
Hover boards.
Flying bikes. Who needs to actually contact the nasty, uneven ground when you're on your MTB. If it was smoother, or just not there, it would mean we could go much further in a much reduced time.
Electric moto cross bikes like the two planks riding around glentress trails the other weekend.
F-Bikes, fusion power baby!
I’d like to see athletics where they let them take all the performance enhancing drugs they want. Hell, let road cyclists have e-bikes and all the drugs.
Flying preceded e

And to be honest it was so much more elegant than the later options

And it looks like hoverboards need some work as well
Biccies.
Hydration drones
Petrol assist P-Bikes.
Terminally offended people!!
turbojet powered bikes:
Jet powered kayaks.
That has already been done though:
Running is changing for the worse with the advent of the Nike 4% and now the Nike Next% - basically running shoes with a carbon fibre spring in the bottom...
An electrical powered surf board meaning no jet ski bikes taking them out to big waves.
