I just upgraded my Wilier to Campagnolo Chorus. Watch out Strava.
Now, if only I could shed all this bloody recovery weight. 🙁

I have to say I have been running Veloce for two years without a hiccup, so in spite of the reputation, I anticipate good things.
How’s the riding going since the back injury SR?
Superfast.

How’s the riding going since the back injury SR?
Just this past week, I resumed commuting by bike - which was a HUGE relief. It has always mattered to me, because if I can't get out for more substantial riding, I know that I am at least still spinning my legs, and I have really missed it.
As for proper rides, I am just working to build up my fitness. I can do everything I used to... just on a small scale. So, whereas I used to ride between 100 and 200 kms per weekend, I am just now doing between 20 and 40. Not much, but getting there.
My biggest challenge is the fact that this stage in my cycling feels nothing like coming back after periods of inactivity. It's more like teaching all of the muscles of my upper body not to reject what I am doing. So, for example, keeping my head up is a challenge, and when I have finished riding even 20 kms, my ribs and middle back hurt.
But honestly? I am above all glad to be back out there, at the same time as I feel confident I'll get to where I want to be (in spite of a post I made a week ago to the contrary!). It'll be a while before I can ride chainey, though, without the club wishing I had just stayed at the café.
Thanks for asking.
