Spent the day walking from Great Langdale, up Cold Pike, over the Crinkle Crags, Bow Fell and Esk Pike, to Esk Hause and back down.
Perfect walk, sandwiched between sunrise and sunset.
Unfortunately one of the main reasons was to do a sighter run for an attempt tomorrow to ride up to the Esk Hause Shelter and then back down again via Rosset Ghyll...
I'm not that good.
Best walk I've ever done was Crinkle Crags, Bowfell, Esk Pike, Scafell Pike, Scafell and back over Harter Fell on a lovely, crisp, snowy December day. One of those days which will live in my memory forever.
That's a long way in not many hours of light!
Great part of the world on a quiet Monday in November. I tend to spend most of my time in the lakes based out of Keswick, so a nice change.
