sorry that was a lie. work has me in these parts again, i have ridden out of Peaslake a handful of times now, i have a reasonable winterfold, pitch and holmbury loop together. but i want to branch out and include Leith in the mix now.
do i basically head right at the bottom of yogurt potts? have seen a segment called High ashes farm lungbuster - is this the best way over? and what to do whence im yonder? anyone got a highlights gpx?
probably parking at walking bottom...
Will send you a few rides later. High Ashes Farm/Greensands way is a popular route to link Holmbury and Leith Hills and can be ridden as a climb or a descent. Personally I usually do YP then Telegragph Road before turning right and doing a bit of road before linking into Greensands Way. There are numerous alternatives inc dropping into the car park by Holmbury village hall a few differemt ways. IMO its a bit harder to find the good stuff on Leith but the new Summer Lightening extension is well worth linking in and is official.
Having moved moved away after many years I miss the area, its fabulous
As per Jambalya above. We usually cut right about 3/4s of the way down Telegraphs, it's quite an obvious track ,this takes you down to Holmbury Hill Rd (i think that's the name) then a bit of road up Pasture Wood Road and go off road to the right just as the road climbs and turns left, this takes you to the bottom of Leith
great thanks, yeah was thinking summer lightening as its my first visit. looks like a looooong way back to peaslake from Wolverns lane tho!?
