A while ago I ordered what was advertised as a single front chainring . When I finally got round to fitting it I realised it wasn't a narrow wide but a normal tooth profile. It's too late to send it back ( I know , I should have opened the packaging straight away) . So , shall I just use it or order the correct item? How much of a problem could it be?

Ime the NW profile is the most effective development in keeping chains on a single ring. I'd be selling it so a singlespeeder.

Well the obvious answer is to build up a singlespeed around it 😉
