ive got this 10 speed xt transmission on my bike with a xtr rear mech and its really noisy??
doesnt matter which gear you are in it sounds quite rattley.
chain does not rub on the mech so i know its not that??
any ideas??
lube ya chain upto the max - i started a thread about this a while back and since then some one else has too- check my history as i replied in his thread too!
it does calm down the noise, but first few rides are noisy as
rock n roll blue extreme is your friend!
B-screw? Dial it out and see if that helps.
i did lube it up last night...... and the chain budum tish !!! 
no seriously i lubed the chain last night and it made no difference??
whats the b screw?
The B screw is the tension adjustment on the rear mech. It adjusts the position of the jockey wheel relative to the cassette

the 10 speed stuff is noisy, the b screw can effect it yes, but to be honest its still noisy, people are suggesting its kinda just 10 speed noise...mine has died down since its been ridden a fair bit....
after i degreased the chain (get rid of the shimano oil from the rollers etc) and stuck the rock n roll extreme on it went a hell of a lot quiter too.....
few things to try there, failing that just keep riding and let it bed in....it seems to have worked on mine with a combination of the above two
Hanger alignment...they are really picky (you can't tell by eye btw).
