Righto, I have 10 days when the other half and the kids go and visit the in-laws. End of July.

I’m based in Sweden, so I’m thinking Åre, then to Oppdal, Sogndal, back via Hafjell.

Sound good? Anywhere I must not miss? I will have the tent and can sleep in the car. Roooooad Triiiip

Sounds like a solid plan. If you haven't already found it, Trailguide.no is a lot more useful than trailforks in Norway. I'd be tempted to ride around Åndalsnes if I was going from Oppdal to Sogndal. It's a little out of the way though but the area is absolutely stunning.

Ah yes that is Trollstigen territory. Could well be worth a visit. Cheers

If you fancy a slightly longer road trip, it looks like there's a decent trail network being established around Lyngseidet. Have a butchers at the more summery pics on here:

Get in contact with Patrik at Magic Mountain Lodge if you're keen to know more.

It would be worth checking out any excuse to ride. Based over in Nesbyen. Good network of trails over there and a decent size town. Mix of partially and fully uplifted trails too

He's on Instagram under 'anyexcusetoride' or a website with the same name. I'd link but can never get the site to work

ah ok, i've been in contact a little bit with Will before. great they are moving there.

Their old place struck me as too isolated. I live in the middle of nowhere so didn't really want to go to the middle of nowhere on holiday!  Anyhow I will drop them a mail and see what they are planning! cheers

Ohh, that's just over the hill* from my cousins

*a very big hill requiring a 2 hour detour in the car around it and a ferry.
