Going to try some of these but no where near stocks them .

How is there sizing ? Is a 45 a proper 45 and allows for a thick sock or do you need to go one up ?

I wear size 9 shoes in work wear and REALLY get on well with the UK size 10 northwave winter boots with thick socks.

I've got a road and a mountain pair both in 10s and very happy with them with my size 9 feet.

Hope that helps

I'm a 44 in most things including Specialized stuff but couldn't even get some 44 Northwave boots on my feet. Same with SIDI stuff, I have to size up.

I have the latest northwave flash arctic gtx and they are a perfect size 7.
I have an older pair of northwave mtb ones with the neoprene liner ( cant remember the model), they are about a half size out i'd say.

I wear 47 in Giro, 47 in Sidi and 46 in Specialized (though I could probably go to 47), and my Northwave Artics are 47. They're a perfect winter fit for me with room for nice thick socks.

Mine are a 45, most of my shoes are a 44 or 45 as I've got wide feet so tend to go up a size to get the width.

Get the artic versions, the fleecy lining means they work with normal winter cycling socks rather than having to use thick hiking socks (and soak/wash them occasionally in nikwax tech wash to keep the fleece fluffy before spraying on the re-proofer).

Also, get some of the gripgrab gaiters, they make a good boot even better, makes them waterproof to anything other than complete immersion by stopping water running down your legs.

I've got some road ones. They are ok in length but on the narrow side so I'd size up. I tend not to wear thick socks to help with the width, but mine are insulated so it's not too big of a deal. I also have cycling socks with a thick toe but thin mesh on top of the foot, that helps also with width.

Size up here too. They have got better but still on the narrow side. (confession) I bought some Northwave shoes in a sale just before Xmas, tried them on and thought, jeez they're on the tight side! Guess they'll be ok though.. Took my foot out and the cardboard packaging liner thing came with it ... perfect fit without .. duh! 😳

At least one size up. Woolie Boolies add about a size to your feet anyway.

Size up for me. I'm a little surprised about some people saying they're narrow. Mine are a couple of years old so maybe they've changed recently? I know I've got wide feet as I've got custom moulded footbeds for snowboard boots. The northwave boots fit me like a glove.

Definitely narrow for me - either the shoe or my foot has given in though so not too bad now. but it took several months
However I just wear normal socks - if I was buying again I would go up half a size and maybe put an insole in or wear thicker socks - This is for the winter mtb boots not the super arctic ones. so I have worn them commuting for most of the year

I went one size up to allow room for thick socks. I have wide feet but don't find them narrow.

If you order NW winter shoes from Bikediscount they give extra information that you should order the same as your regular shoe size. I did this and they fit perfectly even with thick winter socks.

I bought new Raptor Arctic boots with the fleece lining & new ankle one piece neoprene thingymabob.

I'm usually a 9 went for 44 & they are perfect plenty of room for a few thin layers of merino wool socks, cant fault them.

Hope that helps

Update time .

Ordered size 46 Raptor Arctic's and they arrived yesterday . With a Woolie Boolie sock they are a bit too big . Size 45s on the way now for comparison .

Great service from Pro Bike Kit by the way . Ordered the 45s after 7pm last night and they were delivered to my partners office this morning before 10am !!
