Looking for family cycling routes that are suited to a bike trailer, roughly within 1 hour rom manchester. Any recommendations would be appreciated . We usually do the Ladybower reservoir loop but looking for a change, thanks.

How about the Peak District trails? Monsal Dale is a nice trip.

If you do the middlewood start at Marple and only go as far as Bollington as it gets a bit of a pain with a trailer after the viaduct.

Yep, Monsal Trail is nice - kids (and grown-ups) love those long tunnels 😉

I did the Middlewood way today with my kids. Went from High Lane down to Bollington. It's flat, but nice scenery. There's a really good playground and a little skate/BMX Park under the viaduct that's easy to get down to, and the Vale Inn is great for lunch

+1 for the Vale. Good food and superb Bollington ales.

We also had lunch at the Vale yesterday, saw all the bikes locked up at the top of the viaduct as we headed home. 🙂
