Im desperate to get more use out of my Hardtail (genesis high latitude 29er) and as I live in the wirral I'm only a short drive into north Wales so must be countless options. I've been over to Llandegla trail centre a couple of times and rode the red route but I think anything too much more technical might be a struggle for my limited ability at the moment.

Would love to go on some long rambling scenic routes if anyone has any suggestions or can suggest a good source for routes. Wouldn't mind a trip up to the lakes either.

Thanks in advance

Come down to Brechfa, there's some nice HT rideable trails there.

Oh I don't mind a challenge, just with a nod to allowing for my skill levels (or lack of) 😳

Thanks deviant looks great down there, a bit of a tour in the campervan might be in order.

Moorsey, I used to live in Mold. Loads of quality riding around the Clwyds/Moel Famau. Join the NWMBA facebook group as the guys organise rides on there , or ask for a local to take you around. Nercwys Forest has some trails but these are mostly blue graded. But, it makes a great start point for some natural bridlepaths.

If you can ride around llandegla then the other trail centre rides in North Wales should present a good step up. Have a look at Coed y Brenin and Marin

Both are fun, a bit more techy than llandegla (but not scarily so) and easily navigable.

Thanks Monkeysfeet, plenty of options now to go at. Its a shame not to make the most of having North Wales on the doorstep.

Appreciate the knowledge Nickc, Had a look at those two routes earlier and thought it might be worth the trip.
Looking forward to some good riding out in the sticks. Thanks all
