Hi all

Anybody been to North wales on a hardtail? will it break me back ? I'm taking my cotic soul which has 140mm travel bolt thur forks and bought some 2.4 tyres !!! your thoughts would be great ! Forgot to mention its coed y brien

Couple of lads we went with in November were on rigid SS's, survived the beast ok! I wussed out though and took my Stumpy!

Its fine on a hardtail. In fact just about anything is okay on a hardtail, though the marketing men would have you believe that if you attempt MTB'ing in 2009 on anything less than a FS rig with at least 6" of travel [b][u]YOU WILL DIE[/u][/b].

(hardtail with pikes(?) sounds about perfect for a trail centre)

you could do it no probs on a fully rigid.
