Has anyone done this? (Apart from Marc Beaumont that is) 😆

The website suggests 9 days. Is that a fair assessment or a leisurely outing? I know it is going to be a bit lumpy but 50 miles a day doesn't 'seem' all that challenging. If I am wrong......now is the time to find out. Theoretically, we'll be trying to do this next spring.

The video shows guys on road bikes but no luggage, I can only assume they have paid to have stuff transported from one place to another.

I'll be doing it in 5 days next year as part of a supported charity group.
Expecting 5 days to be challenging, but still enjoyable. Would be looking for 3 days if I felt like really beasting myself.

I thought 9 days sounded a bit conservative. AFAIK 3 of us will be B&B hopping but I'd expect to take my own luggage. In my head I thought 100 miles a day would be doable. It really comes down to how strong the other guys will be.,,and how good/bad the weather is!

Lots of threads on this already. Distance per day is very much up to you. I've done the hilly bit of the route (before it was being promoted), carrying luggage and doing about 80 miles per day. We actually did Kyle to JoG.

FWIW. Marc Beaumonts time has already been beaten.

30 hours....

I'd advise you to take your time and enjoy it rather than speeding past everything.
