Its nearly that time again when I will be wearing longs for most rides. However I find the nether regions get very sweaty with either lycra road shorts or baggies short liners worn under winter longs. Are there any liners that have a reasonably comfortable pad but have mesh type actual short to prevent boil-in-the-bag?
I don't know if they're available separately but the liner from Fox Sergeants is just as you describe.
I could probably do with some new baggies anyway so will keep an eye out for some.Cheers.
I have some Endura inners that are mesh and some Nike roadie lycra shorts with mesh inserts that work well.
I also just wear shorts or 3/4 baggies as much as possible - longs only go on of really needed.
You could give leg warmers a go and avoid the longs as long as possible. I tend to be okay down to about 0 with endura leg warmers and overshoes. Any colder and I need thermal longs, and boil in the bag is less of an issue.
I've got some Sugoi padded liners that are pretty much all mesh... hang on... here you go!
