Looking to replace my mmmbop with a 29er. It'll be mainly for commuting so I need to fit a pannier rack on there. Nothing too bling so as to minimise chav interest and cost. Any ideas? Thanks

What's the widest tyre you need to run?

Surly Ogre then?
Pretty much a touring version of the karate Monkey.

Think some folk's idea of non-premium is more spendy than others.

Cube!

good work mr midlife 🙂 not too spendy at all
The ogre does look more suitable, but more spendy. Can you get them without the dumb rigid fork?!
Probably be sticking 2.3 slicks on there.

Karate Monkey is not SS only it has a mech hanger and all the routing for gears and rack mounts.
