Non boost not dead?

I want to tart up my 2017 Smuggler starting with some wheels. Where are people buying non boost 29” wheels from these days?

Budget around 400 quid for something on the AM side of trail. Anything decent new?

Ideally, I would love to build some, but time and tools are limitations.

Thanks all.

Fitwheels.eu would put you on DT XM481s with 350 hubs for around that price

I found them very good when I needed an odd 26" wheel set recently - I'm in the EU mind, you might have duty to pay.

Hope?

You'll need £500 for Pro5, but I suspect you'll be able to pick up Pro4 for your £400 budget.

Silt. Lovely 30mm internal rims, nice DT-inspired hubs and a  12x142 option at the rear. £300 posted. Can’t avoid Boost at the front though.

I’ve got a nice set of non-Boost Arch on DT 240s that I haven’t got round to selling yet if they fit the bill…?

No worries. Do give Silt a look though.

@kelvin, probably not, I had the same requirements a few weeks ago and it was only the odds and sods left. 28h DH wheels etc...

I’ve got a horizon v2 in the back of my smuggler of similar vintage replacing a cross max that got destroyed in a mech/spokes incident. Seems good so far.
