Couldn't spot a thread this week yet...

Just two short dog walk / bike jaunts and a quick solo lap of the woods for me so far yesterday and today. Still playing around with lofi digital cameras and toy lenses. Hopefully getting a proper ride in tomorrow morning.

Particularly like that last pic mate, how did you get that exactly?

I've got a pixel 3.

Lovely ride at Kinnoull Hill yesterday. Cool but sunny autumnal feel. Even mrs_oab, not know for being most adventurous rider, was clocking up air miles and riding all the steeps of last year's Enduro course.

Cheers.

Phone camera. Cheap clip-on wide angle lens (with a cracked polarising filter thanks to the dog). Laying on my belly in a cornfield. Then a smudge of saturation and contrast tweaking in post.

I've got the rest of the day free for riding but cant decide between an xc ride on the Quantocks or getting the big bike out and riding through town upto one of the local jump spots.

I’m just useless at taking photos when I’m out riding! Even more useless at making them appear on a thread!

Not this weekend but last week if that counts.

Pedal up from the valley floor.

Great day riding in the FoD. Plan was to take loads of pictures of actual riding. Was having far too much fun.

While I didn’t take many photos, I did write a thing: https://pickled-hedgehog.com/?p=4460

Be warned, as usual I’ve exchanged profanity for punctuation 🙂

More iffy 'broken' photos. First proper woodsy singletrack ride on the Transmitter this morning. Don't think I'll need to use the Rocket on local rides ever again (not that that will stop me...).

[img] [/img]

And then Doug's second go with the kick bike - had to take a few week's break from it due to a suspected broken toe on my scooting foot. He still loves it.

Exploring Staunton Woods yesterday evening, which was nice. Then on the road today exploring the lanes between Chepstow/Magor/Newport and a detour to the coast. And then my saddle bolt snapped and I had an hour road ride requiring a combination of standing up or sitting on the top tube, whilst trying not to accidentally impale my posterior.

Thanks mate. Any old one from eBay etc?

Yeah. I bought a few from Amazon. If you want those sludgy edges and/or vignettes specifically then adjust the clip on lens so it's not quite 'square' to the phone one. Still playing around but I think the key is to get one with a cheap polarising filter on it.
