I am running a NN on the rear ( with a HD on the front).  The front tyre is fine with none of these issues.

The rear tyres has many spots where it looks like it is punctured - so the Stans fluid leaves "wet patches" / bubbling.  And the side walls have big damp patches all over.

They do hold air ( not forever but serviceable) - riding is on the South Downs , so flint punctures are a possibility.

But the issue doesn't happen on the front.  Nor with the Maxxis on my Oka ....

Is this a Nobby Nick issue?

Which version of the nic are you running?

It should eventually settle down

SnakeSkins shouldn't do this, as far as I know; I had a Racing Ralph that started sweating everywhere near the end of its live, but it was a LiteSkin.

l.e. Apparently there's also Apex, which should be even tougher than SnakeSkin.

Sweaty tyres with sealant is common. I get it on some Maxxis tyres (HR2 and Ardent, less so on Minions).

Thing to remember is non tubeless and Tubeless Ready tyres are porous sidewalls, which is why the sealant is required. The sealant prevents air leakage but it may sweat out liquid. Haven't worked out whether the liquid is part of the sealant (it's not the latex) or something else going on.

In some cases I have puncture holes and that will leave a residue outside, but those are usually on the tread surface. The sweaty stuff tends to be large patches on the sidewalls and no sign of holes.

Mine sweat more as the carcass becomes more battered. Brand new, few seem to do it. I have a 2 year old Mary on the wet season bike that is starting to leave small marks on the floor.

It's the carrier fluid from the sealant, - your tyres are effectively filtering out the liquid from the solids from the spooge. It usually seems worse with glycol based sealants because it doesn't evaporate like water does.

You've probably got the lite version.  Bin them and get the snakeskin ones.  Even the Schwalbe Rep at their trade stand at the XC nationals said nobody buys the liteskin ones.  There's no reason not to get the Snakeskin ones

I had the same with a hd / nn combo, the nobby nic constantly oozed. Never seemed to lose air though.

Then the Hans dampf delaminated and lots of lumps and bubbles appeared.

I've just fitted a set of maxxis, minion and aggressor, so we'll see how they get on.

I have snakeskin ones and they also sweat this way.  I changed from regular Stans to Stans race sealant and that reduced it a lot, just the odd wee spot now.

My NNs sweat like a scouser in a job centre, especially the rear as I ran it a little soft for a while.
