Having a bit of a deliberation... after posting a smiler post last week, I made the decision and bought the 2.25 EXO beaver for the back of my trusty 575. Clearance is great (one of my big issues running big-knobbly tyres is the rear clearance) but I've put it side-by-side to my 2015 nobby nic Double Defence and honestly I'm having some second thoughts.
The beaver seems to have bigger knobblies and I understand clears mud quicker, but worried about it not biting in as much as the Nic due it lack of sharp edged square blocks...
There's also quite a bit of chatter about the beavers not being the strongest tyre, and with me not being the lightest, I'm concerned about shredding the thing up on rocks (not a issue with the Nic). Decisions decisions... at least I'm getting over the fact I may have to run different brand tyres front and back.... just!
