Does anyone know how wide they are in real life?
Good on the front in muddy conditions?
The ones I’ve seen are Performance ones and they are cheap. Is there a reason for that?

Got a surplus pair here I'm just about to take off a wheelset I bought. Pacestar Evo on Pacenti 31. 60mm and one is snakeskin 61mm.

Great in mud, not sure of width. Fairly lightweight tyres, so not the most robust!

Performance one are pretty horrible in my experience. Hard (almost plastic) compound, so they last well but don't offer much in the way of grip. Size wise they are bigger than an "equivalent" maxxis and closer to a true 2.35" width.

I've been happy enough with pacestar on the rear over the summer, but I don't mind the rear sliding a bit and don't like draggy tyres. Trailstar only on the front though (and on the rear now winter seems to be here).

I have the posher ones, and think they're absolutely hateful. They just slide straight over stones if there's even a hint of moisture.

Yep, they're rubbish- OE spec and built for cheapness only. I mean, no Nobby Nics are very good but the Performance models especially aren't.

What sort of use is it for? Anything demanding, you don't want these but it's a buyer's market for 26er tyres now.... S S S S STEALTH AD! I've got shitloads I can't sell

My 2.35" Nic is hanging up on the wall right now but it was visibly wider than the 2.25" I have on the other wheel which for various reasons I measured with calipers last week and was exactly 2.25" wide.

Definitely don't get the cheap ones for reasons already discussed. Now is a great time to buy good condition used 26" tyres...

Basically my 1999 mount vision now feels a bit weedy compared to my Fatty and 650 anthem.
It runs 2.0 Bonty muds so I'd like to put a big tyre on to try and stop it feeling so nervous.
I will be riding it in the worst filth imaginable.
My anthem came with nics and seem to roll and grip well.
If only I could get some nice cheap used ones from somewhere!
