That's what shim reckon.one cup is plastic, other fixed cup is alloy....

Alloy frame. Grease the cups anyway is my instinct?.....

Grease could react with the plastic causing it to swell or crack. Go with the instructions.

I use suspension grease for the nylon cup as its lighter and known to be safe of plastics. Probably superlube for something like that.

I went full metal jacket in the end.

Marine grease everywhere. It's like a swingers party down in that bottom bracket.
