Well, I can't see one anyway....

The bloke has just quite frankly demolished the hour record! I didn't realise that he was working with Ineos nowadays.

Well, he’s shown his kit works. How many people get to prove their worth as a sportsperson and an engineer simultaneously in such a dramatic way! Two career highs at once… I can’t imagine how happy he must be. And deservedly so.

That is absolutely brilliant!

Confirms my belief that we’re not “just engineers” we can also be great at using the products we design!

I can't think of one since Graham Obree.

I really love his approach - he just likes figuring out how to make someone on a bike go faster

Also, look at the size of his thighs in this pic:

One could almost say he has big hams.

Yeah, it is amazing. He was going to have ago at the start of covid in Mexico but that got cancelled. He did take the (ridden in the) UK record not that long ago as well.

His fiancé Josh Lowden holds the women's record as well?

He did great things at Huub and then Ribble (I have a mutual friend on the team).

I love his approach, it's proper engineering and problem solving not just relying on accepted theories.

If you want an insight then watch "The Pursuit" where he and a team had great success on the track until the UCI said only nation states could compete and sadly Derbados wasn't allowed.

It was a set up and shakedown ride for Ganna, who will be going for the “real” hour record (still held by Boardman in the superman position but not UCI recognised). Well done Dan. Aerodynamics plus decent (but not world class) power plus strategy wins the day. Next add world class power to the other two.

Some background if you are interested.

I hope Ganna gets past 56.375 km.

Jos set the Women's record in October last year but it was beaten in May this year by Ellen van Dijk.
