You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
Hi gents and (I would lilke to think) ladies,
my new bike frame (7005 alloy) doesn't have any bottle cage bosses.
This is ever so slightly annoying but i'm sure I can find a solution.
Other than drying out/ using a camelback what alternative do I have to secure a bottle cage onto the frame.
Once again thanks
Sam
I was thinking jubilee clips.
great minds etc

lol, would that be an issue with a heat treated alloy?
Jubilee clips, bottle in jersey pocket or triathalon saddle tube mount
What frame is it?
Google threaded riv nuts. Or if you're near Loughborough send me an email.

All these alternatives are great, I defo want the bottle to be 'inside' the main triangle and I don't want don't want to do anything to destructive!
A slice of inner tube under the bottle cage and a couple of heavy duty zip ties.
Yeah, think I'm defo looking down the diy/ bodge route, I don't really wanna invest much cash into any gadgets that 'might' work as its goin on a 140mm travel singlespeed which I inted to give a very hard time.
DMR do clamp on mounts in a few sizes, also used for their chainguides.
Had this exact problem Thursday night, squeezed bottle in back centre pocket, turned out okay.
bottle cages? I thought everyone on here used a Camelbak full of tools and extra knee pads and stuff?
I have bolt on bands for the seatpost which I can attach a bottle cage too
If its a boardman or a ribble road bike then you'll fit right in wearing a camelbak
