Hi

Any suggestions for an alternative to a carbon rigid 29er fork that won’t break the bank?

I have the orange/black niner air 9 that I have bought as a singlespeed project.

I can’t seem to find a tapered, 15mm carbon fork anywhere that would suit the look and build.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks chaps.

Kinesis looks nice.

You would think there would be some second hand niner ones around for these prices.

I have a Travers Prong on the front of my Solaris at the moment (and a Sektor when I want some bounce)

It's a 15mm axle fork with a carbon tapered steerer. I've done a few hundred miles on it now and I'm very pleased with it, looks nice too

The new ones are Boost, I was able to pick up a non-boost one thankfully

i'd add that with most carbon things, they're not all born equal, i had the original niner carbon fork which i sold and now i have a aliexpress special and the ride quality is nowhere near as refined as the Niner fork. i'd hold out for a Niner or Enve fork if you plan on doing big miles on it

edit: the kineses fork looks damn close to an aliexpress special, i guess moulds can be similar and layup varies

I got one of these a couple of years ago, from this vendor. It's been fine - stuffed a USB endoscope camera down its innards, and it looks OK inside vs. some of the horrors that you'll see on youtube.

Looks like you can go direct now too  https://icancycling.com/collections/fork/products/29er-tapered-carbon-rigid-fork-thru-axle

Yeah - I've been using that ebay fork for a couple of years. Shand now supply them on some of their bikes.

I used to have some Niner rdo a few year back and wasn’t that impressed, but put these whiskey no9 on my singlespeed pipedream skookum and I have been really impressed.
