Are these any good? I quite like the looks but they seem massively overpriced at £499. £240 on Jenson plus forwarding from the States seems more realistic.

I'm interested in the Tomac Flint as well but there is no sign of XL Flints coming to the UK.

I like mine! Now got a wider flat bar on it. My first and only real experience of a 29er so nothing to really compare it too. Nicely put together frame; got mine 2nd hand (from stw ad) for a good price - new price does seem slightly steep.

A friend of mine who owns a bike shop (so has a lot of choice) rides one. Every time he has switched to something else (including a 2012 stumpjumper 29, el mariachi ti), he has gravitated back to the Niner. I guess that must say something.

Ha, yes. He's such a tart. It's a lovely bike - sounds like quite a deal too. Hope you enjoy it.

I really like the look of the SIR.9 but can't help but think that's a bit overpriced too.

I saw those, is there any economical way of getting them shipped other than booking a holliday?

I'd seen those on Jenson, but they won't ship Niner over this way. I'd quite fancied seeing whether a small Rip 9 would be too small for me.

Return fight to NYC is arround £440, saving £260 on the frame,
anything else to justify the other £180? What's the riding like arround there?

Nice frame!
I have even considered getting a mate in the States to send one over for me!

Niners are great but the UK pricing is steep for the hard tails. I got a 2nd hand mcr and its really nice, hate to say it but a far nicer ride than the swift it replaced. If you can get a friend in the states to send one do it!

Jaysus, they're down to $299 now, about £190.
