Morning all, I have some of the wash-in version, but now realise it won't help the wicking lining of an Endura jacket.

Has anyone used the wash-in in a spray bottle to good effect? If so did you dilute it or go full strength? Lastly, can it be sprayed onto a dry jacket or does it need to be washed first?

Buy the spray on. Trying to utilize the wash in as a spray probably isnt going to work given the wash in has those waxy bits. It it doesn't clog the nozzle it will probably make the jacket look like you should be using head n shoulders.

For those still wondering, I watered down the wash in stuff, sprayed it on with a cheap spray bottle, and it seems to have worked - rain beads up on the jacket again.

Usual disclaimer, misuse your ends of products on your expensive kit at your own risk etc etc.

The biggest risk turned out to be breaking bones. I laid the jacket on the tiled floor of the utility room, sprayed it there, wiped the floor dry with a dog towel. I inadvertantly created a friction free floor for those wearing socks, if it wasn't slightly sloping I'd still be there.

I saw similar comments about this and wash in treating the inside would stop the jacket wicking. I've always used wash in and not noticed an issue.

My understanding was that the wicking/breathability is a result of one side of the fabric getting warmer than the other, so irrespective of how you treat it, moisture will always move from the warm side to the cold side. And this is why warm summer rain makes things particularly sweaty, as the inside temp is getting close to the outside temp.

Any experts able to confirm?
