Hey folks, heading up Nigg way for a few months work on Monday. Only room in the van for one bike unfortunately, so what should I take? Mtb or road bike? Any trails or road routes to recommend?
Cheers
Steven

Assuming you mean Nigg in Easter Ross and not the one in Aberdeen, I would suggest taking your mountain bike. Golspie, Learnie and Balblair are all close. Aviemore is just over an hour away and Torridon is 1-1/2 hrs. That should keep you occupied.

Gravel bike?

Loads of good quiet roads as well as gravel plus the mtb trails.

The guys in monster bike Inverness are Ace and usually have a weekly ride out... Or at least they used to.

Check their face book page..

Might have ridden there once or twice 🙂 Some amazing riding. Check out Continue, Fyrish, Goldie. I loved taking the ferry across and riding the stuff on the Black Isle too, not sure if that’s still there. Contin is / was exceptional. The old XC race stuff mixed with the strath puffer and other stuff was amazing. I miss riding there!

Sorry for the autocorrect nonsense, cracked phone screen + whisky fingers is meaning a low success rate. Hopefully it’s deciferable because it’s too late to change it.
