Any of you Helius CC 26" owners know how much tyre clearance there is - can you get a Hans Dampf 2.35 in there or is that a bit tight?

Cheers all.

Lad I used to know gouged a nice groove in his chainstay with a tyre that was too wide

2.35 sounds tight (from memory)

I used to run 2.1" racing Ralph or ground controls in mine and that's as big as you could go. The clearance is shite

Cheers - shame, I prefer the slightly beefier tyres

We happily ran Conti Vert Pro and Maxxis High Roller 2.3's on the Helius but it does also depend on the rim (and the overall tyre profile). There's loads of space to the front of the chainstay yoke but if the tyre bulges out soon after the rim it can get tight at the sides.

Not forgetting HR 2.35's are no bigger than 2.1" GC's

The Helius AC launched in 2010 so the CC is at least 9 years old - not many people were running big tyres on that type of bike back then. (and I bet there anen't that many 10 year old full sus bikes being ridden)
