Disc brakes have no place on a roadie.
The best bit about Hotta`s was beating people on them when I was riding an old steel frame with cheap clip on tribars

😆
There was another chap who came and did our local club TTs on one who got soundly beaten by most people. The biggest difference buying that made to me is that it forced me to train hard enough so as not to embarrass myself (the only people who used to beat me were generally also riding pretty good bikes, and competing at elite level) - though on the downside, now I'm not training so hard I'm reluctant to take part in club TTs for similar reasons.
I know the feeling.Standards have risen in the 15 years since Hotta`s were around
For me it's my tatty look 1950s Raleigh with campy gears and gb brakes
It's a proper shed but always makes me smile

Disc brakes aren't ending up on any of my prettiest road bikes. Ever.
