My soon to be 15 year old daughter has always had her brother's bikes as he grows out if them, but now it's time for her to get her first new bike. For school, work commute, family rides, very occasional light touring. Any recommendations or one's to avoid? Budget not fixed but <£700 ideally. No off road use, must be flat bar.

Any better than this Boardman? https://www.halfords.com/bikes/hybrid-bikes/boardman-hyb-8.8-womens-hybrid-bike-2021---s-m-l-frames-390326.html?recType=OCWOTBRec

Thanks, as ever!

I came here to say whatever boardman fits the bill. And that looks ace.

budget for a decent lock, helmet, lights. Cars these days have daytime running lights and I think the same is now sensible for bikes. Oh, and budget for replacement of the whole lot for when it gets nicked.
