Just finished a tour from Geneva to Nice and fly out to Majorca at 7pm Monday. Need a box for the flight-anyone know any good shops to ask? I'm thinking decathlon might be best bet??

Any advice gratefully appreciated!

Last time I needed some in a hurry in the UK I went to a big evans as they had more chance of having bikes to build that day.

Decathlon are everywhere and sell bikes so easiest to ask them as you say. Otherwise I can't help with local knowledge as we are in Paris !

Good luck and please post a tour write up thread if you can. Excuse my terrible French, wife not here to ask for proper translatation. Note shop will love the bike tour story so lay it on thick if you can 8)

"Une vielle boite de velo - gratuit s.v.p" ?

Nice airport sells basic boxes for 20 euros but they're a bit thin. I've also got a box from the Specialized concept store just up the hill from Nice before.

15th August : Bank holiday
Go to the airport, it's the only place that'll be able to help you after midday.
(unless you can get a box from decathlon, they'll be open all day)

Thanks all. Sat in an airport cafe, all sorted. 🙂

Tried Decathlon, the nice guy there phoned Culture Velo nearby and they had plenty (and zip ties, packaging etc).
Parcel tape from the big Leclerc opposite the bike shop.
Uber to the terminal.

Off to Palma... Woo!
