I'm not sure anyone makes 25.4mm bar clamp stems anymore. The only one that catches my eye is the older Hope ones, but hard to find on ebay (aside from in fancy colours I don't want)
The older Thomson's are nice looking, but the wedge steerer clamp isn't ideal
Looking for something 80-100mm long, and shiny (gloss?) black
Any suggestions?
I realise I can use conversion shims, but would ideally just like a 25.4mm stem
Steerer or bar clamp?
If it's the steerer - I have a lugged steel bike with a 1" steerer, I found a lightweight 1 1/8" stem's clamp with a shim lined up perfectly with 1" aheadset spacer OD. It was a Taiwan sample stem but there'll be a few about if you want black.
Whoops, now edited
looking for a standard 1 1/8th steerer with 25.4mm handlebar clamp

Pic only shows the silver one but they do it in black as well. £20.
I had a nice Syncros 105mm one that was about the same number of grammes. Not sure if I still have it, I'll take a look.
Thanks molgrips
And thanks ads, that's a good budget option
I just remembered Nitto as well, and found this. £50 though

Does it have to be gloss? I've a matt black one here, raceface evolve I think.
I'm afraid it does Nixie. I'm a bit fussy with asthetics nowadays and the forks and seatpost are gloss so looking to match
If you decide that Thomson is OK after all, pretty sure I have a couple of 90mm ones knocking around somewhere 🙂
Race face deus are nice, something like this -

I've a 70mm one but nothing longer I'm afraid.
I’ve got a Thomson 70mm 25.4mm bar clamp in black on a bike I’m splitting.
The wedge steerer clamp is far superior to the later standard. I’ve broken a couple of the newer Thomson’s. Never had any problems with a wedge version.
My Synchros F99 is not gloss.
I think I have a really nice Easton narrow riser bar to go with it if anyone's doing a retro weight weenie bling build. 125g and 100g for the stem...
KCNC?
I think I still have a couple, very nice lightweight CNCd aluminium.
I am 99% sure I have a 90mm Thomson in the shed, which you can have for the cost of posting and a pint. I'll have a look tomorrow when I'm on bike mending duty. I'd rather it didn't just sit there gathering dust for evermore.
Get yourself over to retrobike and put a wanted ad out for a controltech or salsa stem.
