My dad's old Dutch bike hub has failed in a way that was repaired unsuccessfully by his usual mechanic. He'd like it fixed, and I think the easiest way to do this would be to replace the whole internal assembly. Looks like 8 speed versions are available reasonably readily, but I can't find 7 speed ones. Haven't looked at it to get the full part number yet.
Anyone know of a source? Either a full hub and I'll just scavenge the parts needed, or the gear unit. I don't really want the big job of having to rebuild the wheel and go 8 speed, which would mean the whole drivetrain replaced too.

Why would it mean the whole drivetrain being replaced going to 8spd?

Hub shell different so It'd need new spokes, the changer unit new, 8 spd shifter, which I think is trigger rather than twist and a new cable. Alright, I could re-use the old chain and chainring, but going 7 to 8 speed is not straightforward.

So there are, in a surprising array of different styles. I definitely need to work out the model range. Ta.
