Does anyone know what has happened to Next Day Tyres???

The website appears to just go to a default Web Hosting page.

Technical problems, new website or have they ceased trading (hopefully not)??? Can anyone shed any light on their online disappearance.

Thanks

Probably being re branded as "Atherton Tyres" 🙂

Seriously though, would be a shame if they've gone.

Where's best now then, as an alternative source? I liked their range of tyres and good product information. Made it easy to compare weights etc.

Yes, I'm the same as GavinB, I found their site full of useful information. Shame its gone. I liked the way they provided the choices enough that I never bothered with comparing their prices with anyone else.

Shame they're gone. I actually started building something like their site many years back thinking it was a good idea, then came across them and thought between them and CRC etc. there was no point going through with it.

Sounds like I might have to revisit that now as there's clearly now a gap for good, impartial advice and real information.

I would expect theres a combo of factors but I would expect that UK prices on Maxxis will drop soon even at your local bike shop as the competition heats up between Madison and Extra so maybe there's just not the sustainable margins anymore.

Hmm bad news if they've gone.

Have ordered loads of tyres off them over the years I didn't mind paying a premium because they had exactly what I wanted. A couple of times they sent the wrong item and told me to keep it!

But more recently they seemed to be carrying less stock. I guess when it was just 26" it was fairly easy to keep at least 1 of every derivative in stock

Germany always seems cheaper.

I ordered some 2.6 tires from here recently and they were a good price.

I'd get in quick and order all the stuff you need from europe before Brexit ruins everything.

I noticed that too when looking for 26" tyres and when I was looking for CX tyres. Looked like stock was being run down

That's a real shame if they've gone, nice site full of detailed info and never had any problems with my orders.

What a shame.

Very useful for those of us who live in the sticks and don't have big bike shops with a huge range.

Hmm, there was a tweet saying they'd rebranded, but that site is also dead...

Shame , I've had lots of tyres from them over the years.
They always came the next day.

So perhaps this is an example of the race to the lowest price killing off good service 🙁

Well I tried to buy a tyre from them last year, emailed and never had a response. Shame, my mate raves about them and I believe we’re local to me

Another occasional buyer from Nextday here too; again, the reduced stock holding has had me looking a bit wider recently and specifically, at r2 as above. They have both a choice of 4.0 & 4.8 Maxxis Minion fatties, as well as the new 2.6 29er Minions as well.

They retired ish. It was always a side line from his original programming/web business. I bought loads from there and they were only 10 miles away. Used to wander between the stacks in the warehouse looking for stock 🙂

Not sure all the reasons, but they were running it down for a while (despite rebranding). Shame as they had lots of stock and were local.

They were brilliant every time I ordered. Bought loads of tyres from them - keeping 26 inch going.

Whenever I did a price comparison they won my business because by the time you added delivery from other folk or bought enough other stuff to get free delivery you were at the price or above from nextday anyway.

There is also the issue that on most websites you really have no clue what you are buying when it comes to tyres as the picture will be a generic one and the specification will be missing a critical element. On Nextday you knew you were going to be ordering a 3C TR EXO for example and it would be that when it arrived - nextday. Plus they listed all the weights. A fantastic resource. Sorry to see them go.

@benpinnick - definitely a gap in the market for you.

Gelert- completely agree.
It got to a point were I would only use NDT as I knew they had what I wanted at the right price.
Great resource with all the details you need to make your choice. Quick postage really helped too. Do it @benpinnick !

Real shame, great service from a local business.
They’ve even hand delivered to us in Malvern before (hyperquicktyres).

sod the price, if they had stock they actually had stock and the website let you see that information really easily.

i dont want to click a link to a tyre specific page only to find an out of stock notice

last time i shopped it seemed to be thinning out, personally blame 27.5, 27.5+, 29, 29+, Fat, Fat Plus dont know if they did road, hybrid, cx, fraudax, gravelroadadventurerer, in every make, bead and compound

Such a shame. Was always my first choice for ordering Maxxis tyres.

Well if it's due to retirement then I wish them a very long and happy retirement. A great site where you got real and useful information.
