After only having a road bike for the past 18mths, I feel it's time to get back into mtb'ng So here's my newly acquired 2015 Orange crush, with upgraded 2016 revs rct3, dropper post which is currently away for service. Gonna change the pedals and maybe the bar.
It's a real hoot to ride!

Looks great! If it were mine, I'd keep the bar and change the front tyre straight away for something decent.

Enjoy

Purgatory no good?
I've only been out on it once and it felt grippy, seemed to roll fine. I had nobby nics in my last bike which were skittish as hell. Fast though

Any recommendations for front tyre?

Only used the 29er version and found it a decent all round/xc tyre. When throwing the bike downhill tho, I wasn't as confident in it as I had been in other tyres. Much preferred a butcher or hans dampf on my 29er but others will advise better on the smaller wheels. Something like a minion or HR2 would be good, I think.

I'd use the Purgatory for now. The weathers getting better and it's a grippy fast rolling all rounder. It depends what you plan on riding. I put about 2k on my Trail HT with a Purgatory on the front without any issues. It's a predicable tyre. If you're descending biased then maybe look at something chunkier. Tyres are very personal. I would see how you get on.
