Good to see they finally found a use for the "battle damaged" stickers that came with the X-Wing Fighter toy.
Ships April 2022...
Finally a bike for lefties
Did they learn nothing from orbea!

Fair comment, I guess it's the spiritual successor to that shred sled anyway.
needs renaming YT Shabby Chic
That launch edition is $8000. Budget brand no more.

Umm glad I'm not the only one to see it.. move the shock mount to under the top tube and switch the FSR linkage to a split pivot and it's an Occam.!!
Bizarre that they've launched this new version now when they won't ship until April 2022, but they still have the current model on the way with delivery due in Autumn for those. Why not get rid of those first, then launch the new one? Very odd.
I thought Rickos was joking. Why launch it now?
Next thought was some sort of "Sick!" ponzi scheme but it looks like they are doing a 10% deposit, pay balance 4 weeks before shipping.
Geometry isn't super progressive.
I love the pink, but the patina and graffiti looks dumb.
Lack of a water bottle was the reason I didn't get a Capra in 2015. It's baffling it took them this long to fix that but it looks nice.
Core 4 Spec looks decent.
On first impression I reckon I'd prefer a Nukeproof Giga. Also no longer a budget brand.
I'd also favour the Giga, on paper.

I wonder if knowing the size of demand will allow them to increase production from what they might have launched with?

Those cranks are 1K on their own, without rings or BB. It's certainly not a budget build.

I think 'Budget' Brand doesn't help anyone in the MTB world, these are emotive buys, no one wants a 'Budget' bike, but VFM is another thing.
As for the Pink one, it's a £7k 'Launch Edition' in a funny paint scheme and dripping with expensive bits. It'll grab headlines in Bike mags and draw a lot of attention, but they probably wont make / sell many.
The Core 3 and 4 models are still pretty good VFM, even if VFM starts at £4k these days!
The £4k Core 3 is similar spec to a Remedy 9.8 at £5.5k, where as the £5k Core 4 is comparable with Santa Cruz Nomad X01 build, for £1200 less, or if the lure of Santa Cruz makes £1200 seem inconsequential, it's £500 less than a Canyon Torque CF9.
MX Core 3, large, lava red - March 2023 🤣 Preordering nearly 2 years out is mental.

You can order on the website and not pay until it's about a month before it ships (at least you could last year).
WE might be back in the time this actually ships🤪

You've got to add tax and shipping on for UK remember, that 4k Core 3 is probably going to be more like 4.5k, not to mention the endless wait for one to arrive!
Holy massive quote!.
Lovely in the blue, really nice.
Before you buy a YT, you might want to ask yourself if you want to give money to "The most offensive, mysogynist, violent, Trump affiliated company in bicycle history"
Makes you think.
There is a big thread on PinkBike that completely discredits the above link from Double Crown Addict. He actually makes some decent points about YT's marketing but most of his efforts to link YT to the far right are tenuous at best, bogus at most and some outright lies.

Quite surprising that pinkbike allow that guff to be hosted on their website. The fact it is on pinkbike must lend it an air of authenticity/accuracy/legitimacy - as its not immediately obvious that its just a members blog page.
I note the member who posted it has had their pinkbike account suspended for 'trolling'.

That is fascinating. It reads like a study of dog-whistling to the Alt-Right. I can't say I'd noticed it before but now they mention it... You're right I probably wouldn't buy a YT after seeing that, the bleeding heart liberal that I am.
