Anyone using them? I know they had to walk back their original design, so they're as silent as originally promised. They're dead pretty though, and I'm curious about them.
I've got a 9100 rear - as reported on the MTBR thread it's a minor change from the original Scylence mechanism which means it's now pretty quiet, and occasionally silent.
I haven't hacked mine to return to the Scylence mechanism. I like a quiet freehub and it's quiet enough already - easily quiet enough to surprise walkers etc (I must put a bell back on...)
Nothing else to report other than, yes, it looks lovely and shiny, and is pretty light (230g ish). Not had it that long, but it's done 600 winter miles and has just worked for me.
Cool. They're basically the same price as a 240 EXP while being a bit of an unknown, so kind of hard to justify, but they are shiny, so shiny.
I love the idea of a silent hub but everything I own now is 29+ so it's fairly deafening most of the time anyway.

Yeah, main downside is the lack of flexibility on freehubs and you're screwed if the bearing surfaces pit. Still happy with mine though, everything else seems to be so clicky.
I took a punt on the XT's for a new build as I like silence myself. A lot less money lost if some problems appear. They should be coming in tomorrow and with luck I'll have the wheels running on a new bike the week after.
Hard to beat 240 EXP at any price. Reliable, easy to swap between standards. Even nicer looking than the old version.
I have dabbled with XTR and they are nice a d spin freely but just not as flexible as most other hubs out there.
If you want shiny, go King (high), White Industries (middle) or Hope (lowish).
