Is anyone else running this combination and unhappy? M785 XT brakes with M660 SLX shifters? I'm finding it difficult to get the positioning right as gear shifters seem to get in the way of the brakes. I'm going to try a new shifter and see if that helps, but wondered if anyone else has noticed this... i can see myself spending hours fettling to get the layout right!
Have you removed the shift indicators? Makes life much easier. And they're ugly and utterly pointless and add weight.

yep, ditched those, it's more a case of the levers seem to get in the way of each other if brake and shifter are flush, but if they are not flush it kind of looks silly with the gear shifter hanging below the brake. If you have the new XT or SLX brakes, I'd appreciate a close up photo of the levers.
